Will Andrew Bynum come Back?

Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum’s rehab from knee surgery has progressed to small-sided games—and carrying Playboy playmates on his shoulders.

As Bynum expressed confidence on his Web site this week that he’ll return before the end of the season, coach Phil Jackson defended his big man over pictures that have peppered the Internet showing Bynum at the Playboy Mansion last weekend posing with a girl on his shoulders.

“I think there’s a lot being made out of that that is unnecessary,” Jackson said before Tuesday’s game against Charlotte. “This is a young guy. I don’t think Andrew is 22 yet, is he? He’s a 21-year-old guy. He’s been out of basketball 5 1/2 -6 weeks. He’s got to have some energy and vent and have some fun. Now I don’t know if putting a girl on your shoulders…”

Bynum was averaging 14 points and 8.2 rebounds when he tore the medial collateral ligament in his left knee against Memphis on Jan. 31. In a question-and-answer session on Bynum’s Web site Tuesday, he vowed to be back soon.

“Yes, I am going to make a return this season,” Bynum said. “I’m already doing strength and conditioning as well as playing 2 on 2 and 3 on 3, while waiting on the team to return.”

It was welcome news to Jackson, who hasn’t spoken to Bynum since the Lakers began a seven-game, 13-day road trip that ends Wednesday in Milwaukee. The Lakers entered Tuesday’s game with the second-best record in the NBA, but may need Bynum’s inside presence to win the title.

“I think the best news from that blog that he sent out was he said he thinks he’s going to play a regular season game,” Jackson said. “That shows me some confidence. The last time I talked to him before we left on this road trip, Andrew said he was hopeful. But he sounded confident.”

And his knee is strong enough to carry around a playmate, too.

“The fact that people are beating him up over that, I think that’s crazy,” Jackson said. “Andrew is doing fine and he’s going to be fine.”

Why Lebron James is not MVP!!!!!

All these stats were put together by ESPNand Yahoo sports.. ok!!!

0-2 against LA shooting 31% when KOBE is covering him
1-2 against Boston shooting 42% when Peirce is covering him
1-1 against Houston shooting 40% when Artest is covering him
1-1 against Orlando shooting 46% when Lewis is covering him

Now lets look at the top 5 teams Lebron plays against going by field goal percentage
Minnesota- 70% in just one game against them
Oklahoma City- 58%
Denver- 57%
Milwakee- 56%
Miami- 53%
Wow! Lebron plays like shit against the top teams but boosts his stats up against the bad teams. Oo and what a coincidence!! Hes playing in the worst division in the league where they are the only team above .500! That means they play 16 games a season against these terrible division teams. Then they get to play
Atlanta- 3 times
Charlotte- 3 times
Miami- 4 times
New York- 4 times
Toronto- 3 times

Hes playing these crappy teams sooo much. Did you know the Cavs have had the easiest schedule in the NBA?

Now lets take a look at KOBE!
2-0 against Boston Kobe shoots 44% and 45! from 3 point line
2-0 against Cavs Kobe shot 47% (keep in mind he had 2 injured fingers on his shooting hand)
3-0 against Houston shooting 51%
2-1 against San Antonio shooting 49%
1-1 against Orlando shooting 42%
The Lakers have been beating all the top NBA teams! And those shooting percentages are good for a guard except for the one with Orlando =P but its still not as bad as Lebrons 31% against the LAKERS!!

Now lets look at the teams outside of the division the Lakers have played more than twice.
Dallas- 3 times
Denver- 3 times
Houston- 3 times
Minnesota- 4 times
New Orleans- 4 times
Portland- 3 times
San Antonio- 3 times
Memphis- 3 times
With the exception of Minnesota and Memphis all those teams are better then the best team the Cavs play outside of the division more then twice.

So who is the MVP?

Kobe Bryant and D-WADE. that simple lebron james is an over-rated jackass and he just cares about money and is way to cocky i dont like him so vote no on lebron for mvp. go kobe or wade not james hes to ugly and gay..

Kobe and Ariza Push Lakers past Mavs,Wade Makes History Again,Clinching Playoffs.

Sunday March 15, 2009 the lakers hosted the dallas mavericks. the lakers played such a good game. The matchup could be a preview of the first round of the playoffs. The Lakers already have clinched the Pacific Division and are battling Cleveland for the league’s best record. The Mavericks are fighting for a postseason spot.it was an intresting game Pau Gasol went 10-10 the first half, until jason the Jet terry got it going in the third quarter. a 15 point lead was cut to seven going to the 4th. the lakers sat down there starters and the mavs cut it down so fast the lakers were down by 6.Down 81-66 after Bryant’s three-point play with 5:58 left in the third, the Mavericks began their run on a pair of 3s by Terry. He added two more after a pair of Los Angeles turnovers in the closing minute of the period to narrow the gap to 87-80.That was while both teams had mostly reserves on the court. When Bryant and the other Lakers starters returned early in the fourth, Los Angeles soon went on a 12-0 spurt of its own.Bryant’s 3-pointer with 6:51 left ended a string of nine consecutive misses by the Lakers from behind the arc, and he made another with 3:36 that ended the run with them leading 101-95.thanks to Trevor Ariza's Spectacular Play and Kobe Bryant's Clutch-NESS lakers improve to 53-13!

No surprise here: Dwyane Wade is now, officially, the greatest scorer in Miami Heat history.Wade passed his good friend and mentor Alonzo Mourning on Saturday to become the leading scorer in franchise history. Wade’s dunk with 11:05 left in the third quarter against the Utah Jazz gave him 21 points for the game, and 9,460 in 380 career regular-season appearances.Mourning, who played for the final time in December 2007, scored 9,459 points in 593 games with the Heat.“Records are made to be broken,” Mourning said after Wade’s recordsetting score. “If anybody had to break the all-time scoring record, I wanted it to be D-Wade. I’m proud of him and I think the best is yet to come.”Mourning couldn’t resist to take the chance at endorsing Wade’s MVP candidacy as well. Wade continued his huge push for postseason honors, finishing with 50 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists as Miami wound up winning a triple-overtime epic, 140-129. He now has 9,489 points in his Heat career. WoW!!!!! but i guess it really helps the organization isnt really that old. its like saying the bobcats were created in 03 so when Emeka Okafor got his first rebound he broke the organizations rebound record "0". Good Job WADE. keep doing your thing.

Only 4 Teams have clinched a playoff spot the Celtics, the Cavaliers,Magic and Lakers, only two of those have clicnched there division Lakers win Pacific,Cavs win Central. only 16 games are ledt for the lakers. they need to clicnch home court through the playoffs they cant mess up.

Lakers vs San Antonio

i just finished watching the game, when i realized i hadnt done this blog. So yea lakers beat the Spurs 102-95. yup lakers are rolling along. they are going to play dallas this sunday at staples one of our very few home games this month.lakers were up by 18 in this game i wouldnt know worked 4:30-9:30 game began at 8 oclock when i got home the third quarter was wrapping up when i saw Spurs catching up. it was cool and collect they struggled to score but fond there way out of it. they have now clicnched a playoff spot and the only western confrence team to do so. even though they are the best team in the NBA. One night after ending Houston’s 12-game home winning streak, the Lakers wrapped up their road swing by bringing San Antonio’s three-game winning string to a halt. The loss cut San Antonio’s lead over the Rockets in the Southwest Division to two games, with the Spurs heading to Houston on Saturday. The Rockets play at Charlotte on Friday.Forcing the usually careful Spurs into several first-half turnovers and the Lakers rolled to a 35-17 lead—the most points allowed by the Spurs in the first quarter all season. Then Bryant, with rookie George Hill closely guarding him, drained a 3-pointer that quashed any hopes of a Spurs comeback. As Bryant left the court, several dozen fans chanted “M-V-P! M-V-P!” in what is usually hostile territory for the Lakers. it was a pretty shot and they are going to win this gamme i yelled . Go LAKERS 52-13

NBA AWARDS

MVP:
As I stated in my blog before this one I’m pretty sure I’ve established who's winning the race to MVP. Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. They are beating it up for their teams and going head to head. But what about the other awards?

6th Man of the Year:

Nate Robinson NY
1. Nate Robinson, Knicks: Some fans were surprised when the high-scoring guard, who currently has a sprained left ankle, knocked off Dwight Howard in the slam dunk contest a few weeks ago. Holding off Jason Terry for the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award would be an even bigger upset.

2. Manu Ginobli

3. Corey Maggette

4. Jason Terry

Coach of the Year:
1. Stan Van Gundy, Magic: It is not easy working a new player into the lineup, especially replacing an All-Star at the lead guard position. But so far, Van Gundy's crew is off to a 4-2 start with Rafer Alston running the show.

2. Phil Jackson, Lakers

3. Mike Brown, Cavaliers

4. Erik Spoelstra, Heat

Rookie of the Year:

1. Derrick Rose, Bulls: Good news for Rose: Bulls general manager John Paxson has instructed head coach Vinny Del Negro to keep him on the court during the closing minutes of games. No more sitting and watching Kirk Hinrich.

2. Russell Westbrook, Thunder

3. O.J. Mayo, Grizzlies

4. Brook Lopez, Nets

Most Improved Player Watch

1. Devin Harris, Nets: Not a bad stretch of games for the point guard, who capped a 39-point performance by hitting the game-winner from half court against the Sixers, dropped 42 points on the Bulls and put up 26 points and 14 assists in his head-to-head matchup against Chris Paul and the Hornets.

2. Kevin Durant,Thunder

3. David Lee,Knicks

4. Danny Granger,Pacers

Defensive Player of the Year

1. Dwight Howard, Magic: Howard is second to the Knicks' David Lee in double-doubles (48 for Lee, 47 for Howard), but he still leads the league in rebounds and blocks.

2. Dwyane Wade, Heat

3. LeBron James, Cavaliers

4. Kobe Bryant, Lakers: He hasn't been concentrating on defense the past two games -- he jacked up 31 shots in a loss at Denver on Friday and followed that up with 38 attempts (the highest total for any player this season) in the defeat to the Suns. However, the shooting guard pulled down 19 rebounds in those two contests. (Last week: 4)

These are my picks. If anything these should become more quickly and easier to expect them sooner or later
